December 2005

Img_0567 Finally I remember to update my blog.. I really miss Australia and all of my friends (yes, I’m talking about you guys!).. Well, It was like a week ago but I still remember what the flight was like.. It was alright but the our flight to Denpasar was delayed for five hours!!! At least they gave us some food voucher so we get to have free food at least. We didn’t end up using all the voucher but we did get some sushi and later we ate some Chinese. Anyway, I would like to say thank you once again to everyone who took me to the airport, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, Yoshie couldn’t come because her hostmum fainted (I understand Yohsie!). And thanks a lot for the surprise, I really love the scrapbook. I keep looking at the scrapbook oImg_0579n the plane. That’s like the coolest scrapbook I have ever seen, Good job guys! Hey, anyway can I ask everyone a favour? Can you guys send me a postcard.. I don’t know why but I just feel like collecting postcards..  I am happy in Indonesia now, but I have to study like crazy? And now we’re talking about me studying.. that doesn’t sound right, does it? I get used to skipping classes and I don’t know why I still got straight A’s. The point is that I will have to get used to the habit of studying now, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to survive..

Img_0544 Last night was one of the happiest and saddest moment I have had in Australia: my farewell party. At first, I kinda regret that I had to cook plenty of food- I chose satay and clean the house etc etc and I still need to do packing, but I was thinking I really really really want to do Img_0518something special for my friends before I go and I realized that I have never invited them for any Indonesian lunch or dinner.. So I decided I would make chicken satay for them..

Well, people arrived at different times.. I didn’t do any formal invitation with RSVP because I was using the Indonesian way of come here at this time and that.. Some people have to leave early and some have to come late for the reason of sister’s graduation and work and etc etc, but I was just glad that they came. WeImg_0554  enjoyed our dinner and then my my friends had a surprise for me.. They gave me a bag with a big writing "Farewell Kacha" with my picture on the bag.. It was sooo sweet.. They gave me a friendship teddy that people can write farewell notes on, a tin of timtam and a T-shirt saying "Everybody loves an Aussie Girl.".. Thank you sooooo much guys, that was sooooooo sweeett (didn’t expect that.. and u said that u have another surprise for the airport?????) hehehe, after Img_0541 that we had fun talking and talking and talking and catching up with everyone.. After we ran out of things to say.. we turn on the music and started dancing like crazy.. and what I mean by crazy is really really crazy..

The party started around 5 – 6 pm and people started leaving at around 9.. but most people stay until really really really late.. They helped me cleaning the kitche (Thanks a lot guys, especially Lauren lol).. and we were also eating some ice-cream while watching desperate housewife…Img_0559

I would like to say thank you to all of my friends in Australia for everything.. You guys are the best.. and I will miss you guys soooooooo much.. I promise we will see each other again.. i will see you Friday morning at the airport at 6 am.. Don’t cry otherwise you’ll make me sad.. and don’t worry because we’re gonna see each other again.. promise

1 Yep, me and all my friends.. A lot of people have left when the picture was taken :(   Can u see my friendship teddy? (btw, I named it Aussie)

2. Yum…. Satay (hehe, Look at the way Tessa looking at her Satay)

3 and 4 – Friends forever!!!

5 Ice cream – Chocolate and Cookies I think, it was yummy!

Img_0483 On Sunday night, we had an Xmas Dinner Party for the company at Cafe Primo.. At first, I was sooo annoyed because it was hard to get a lift.. I heard there was going to be some carpooling or some sort  but I didn’t find any info about it but finally I got Jim to take me to Cafe Primo where the dinner is held. Well we encountered a bit of problem since we didn’t know which part of Anzac Highway is the cafe (I have never been tImg_0481here). We tried to get to Anzac Highway via Marion Road but we went past it.. anyway, I got there thirty mins late but still made it, they haven’t started anything yet.. Well, the food at the cafe was really good and yummy and was pretty affordable too. I had some pasta (i forgot what the name was).. It was sooo good but to be honest, I wish I had ordered Sarah’s food (first picture) the chicken parmigana.. I tried a little bit of it and it was sooo yummy… We started the dinner at seven something and we finished around ten something. I got a lift from Megan (u rock Megan).. Firstly we had to take Louise home, she lives somewhere near the city so we actually spent time driving around.. hehehe.. Anyway, I got home safely at eleven. That was a very good night.

Img_0476_1So you guys know where I work ? Well yes, I work at boost juice.actually I used to… Well, the truth is that I haven’t been there that long but I have to quit now for the reason that I have to move country. I am soo gonna miss my job for the reason of 1.money and 2. It is such a cool job..  Why is it cool? It’s becausImg_0478e we can dance and do crazy things at work.. And yes, we are allowed to do that as long as we do our job properly. The fun thing about working is that you can dance, throw jugs and cups everywhere. The atmosphere is very casual you know.. Except for the fact that evil mystery shoppers can come anytime to check up on you. If you failed, job today, unemployed tomorrow. Believe it or not, I got a mystery shopper during my third shifts and my first time on register.. I passed the pour up section but failed the register – overall is 86% so I still pass.. It wasn’t such a good thing.. Anyway, but I have enjoyed working at boost juice, everyone is so nice and friendly.. I wish I would be able to continue working there.. :(

The first photo is of four of us (Emma, Me, Chloe and Tanya) at my last day of work.. It was after close and we were posing with the drink.. The second picture is of me and Brad, our store manager.

Img_0466_1 It was my friend, Yui’s birthday party. The party was at Charlie’s. In my opinion, Charlie’s might not be the best place to eat but it’s good because it’s an all you can eat restaurant. I didn’t eat any breakfast yesterday so I ate a fair bit at Charlie’s. Maybe I ate three plates of food (the plates are small u know). Charlie has a good variety of food but I mainly eat Chinese. For dessert, Img_0468 I chose Ice-cream. It’s as simple as that.

I got home and Nela told me off because she found out that I have practically done no packing.. Yes, that’s true. I haven’t started the list.. And it is soooo stressing… For the first time in my life I wish that  I DON’T HAVE AS MANY CLOTHES.. AND SHOES AND BAGS AND BOOKS AND EVEN PHOTO FRAMES.. Where do I get all these from? I can’t even believe I could afford all of these myself.. so this is where all of my work money have gone.. hehe.. It’s not hard to get rid of any of my clothes or bags or shoes coz I am positive that all of my friends want them but still…Aaaarghhh, I’m stressing out.. Can anyone help me?

Today was another fun day.. oh yeah.. Bec, Emma and I decided since most of Picture_006us  free on Thursday, we should do something together.. We were thinking: eat lunch at a cafe – where should we eat? no money, shopping – no way no money, movie – what should we see? no money, so then I came up with the best idea. Why don’t we go for a picnic! (yeah, snaps for Kacha!!!- right Em)..

It was sooo good to see that seven of us could come. I didn’t really organize everything, it Picture_018was all Bec’s work.. (Thanks Bec, just like I told u, u did a very fine job of organizing today’s picnic).. We had our picnic at Belair National Park. Each of us brought different food, I did bring some drinks.. First, we eat and eat and eat and talk and talk and talk… After that, we had some fun playing tennis. The problem is that we didn’t have any net, coz we didn’t want to pay twelve bucks for the net.. Well it was soooooooooo fun, we also did other things like walking, games, climbing trees, feeding the magpies etc etc..

Picture_005We started our picnic at twelve and finish at three forty-five.. Bec had to work.. Anyway, today was such a great day.. I am sad now, realizing that I will not see my wonderful friends for a long long time.. I love you guys – and I am sooo sad that I am leaving!!! mwah mwah!!

Picture4 Oh wow, Odette and I had a sleepover at Marta’s place on Monday night.. It was soooooo fun… Well, we did usual sleepover activities: eat, talk, watch movies, paint our nails, talk and talk and bitch about people we don’t like. Well, we did bitch about lots of people but we don’t bitch about nice people so to all my other friends, don’t worry we didn’t talk about you, we just talked about people we found annoying and most of you would know who they are anyway. We were going to watch "Dukes of Hazzard" but as soon as I told them the movie is full of tasteless slapsticks, we stopped the DVD and watched "Sweet Home Alabama" instead. To be honest, I haven’t watched SHA before but it wasn’t really good and sorry I can’t be bothered writing a review right now..

Well, the next day, we got up early to get ready coz we were going to have a Picture7 photoshoot during the day.. We put our make-up on and did our hair and yeah we all looked hot (actually Marta and Odette looked hot, not me ^-^) There was some problems becoz Marta didn’t realize that she had a lecture for Psychology, English and Biology but we managed to have fun.. And we’re going to get the photos soon.. After the photo shoot, we met Marta’s friends from University Senior College..

The day was sooo fun, we got home tired and hungry..

PS: sorry odette (my dear photographer lol), u r not in any of the pic for the reason that u took the pic

Dscn1438It was my Japanese buddy – Yoshie’s 17th Birthday Party!!! It was such an honour to be invited.. hehehehe.. Yep, the party was all girls (mostly Japanese) and it was soooo fun. We were dancing the whole time and it was just wicked. Anyway, even though it was Yoshie’s birthday, I got a present from Yoshie. She gave me this beautiful blue Japanese Yukata with matching thongs.. It was sooo pretty..I kinda felt a little bit guilty coz I gave Yoshie a book "Looking for Alibrandi" by Melina Marcheta which I knew she really wanted but I don’t think I can compare it with the Yukata. The Yukata is such a wonderDscn1434ful gift.. The Japanese girls tried to help me put on the Yukata coz I was sooo clueless about how to wear it but now I have a better idea, thanks to the Japanese girls.. Another thing is that I didn’t know what actually happened to me, I wasn’t drunk for sure hehehe, but I was sooo hyper during the party, I just couldn’t help it. I hope that I didn’t kinda ruin it – actually, I felt that I made the party even more fun.. hehehe.. One other thing I love about the party is that Yoshie made some Sushi – and I just love Sushi.. The Tiramisu YPicture8_1oshie’s hostmum made was really good too.. So in conclusion,  it was such a fun day!!!! To Emma: I know u really regret that you couldn’t come.. hehehe

About the photos:

1. The first photo was of me and Yoshie drinking some Japanese gree tea, hoping that the green tea will have a soothing effect and calm me down – unfortunately it didn’t work.

2. Look, how cute does Yoshie look with her cake? I didn’t eat the cake, I ate the tira misu instead.

3. Me with my gorgeous Japanese friends wearing my beautiful Yukata..

Picture_009resizedExam has finished.. Felt so great.. I did well in all of them but not as good as last semester.. hehehehe.. My exam finished on tuesday because I don’t have any exam on Wednesday. I had to come to see some friends and I need to chase teachers around to get them to sign my school-leavers  form. I got an uexpected invitation to go to Glenelg from Millie, Celia and Bek. Well, I wasn’t planning to go but I ePicture_012_resizedventually came. Anyway, first we caught a bus to the city, then we caught the tram to the bay. As the trip was unplanned, we couldn’t swim or anything like that, we didn’t even wear bathers… hahaha.. But at least we had fun walking around, checking out some hot guys (topless) and Millie bought a new top.

Picture_002Last day of School… It was soooooooo sad!!! People attacked me straight away with textas and started writing graffiti all over me.. hehehehe.. And when there was no space left on the polo shirt, they started writing on my skirt. hehehe, it was so sad and fun at the same time.. We took lots and lots of picture during lunch as well.. hehehehe.. it was soo sad and fun..  And all of the Japanese exchange students are also leaving one day after my departure..

The day before we had an assembly. I didn’t expect them to give out this outstanding academic achievement etc etc award and I got the award (how embarassing? they called out my name first). The award was for straight A’s achiever for semester one and term three.. and I was sooo surprised only three people out of all 200 students in year 11 got the award. And after that, Ms. Scott mentioned to all the students that I’m leaving. What surprised me was that Bec started crying, Carlee too and the rest.. I couldn’t believe that they were crying because of me.. It was sooooo sweet! (hehehe bec, I know u will be reading this)
